About me
I am an Integrative Counsellor trained to help you with whatever difficulties you are facing.
It may be that you are very confused or unhappy and wonder how you are going to get through but please know that though things may seem bleak now there is growth through tough times, and this growth can start with what is often the most difficult thing: reaching out for help.
I see adults and under 18's and have lived in the southwest for 35 years, raising my three children here. Previously to training to be a counsellor, I worked in an educational setting in a senior pastoral role, a job I loved. I particularly enjoyed the mental health side of the role and so decided to train as a counsellor and undertook both an adult training to degree level, and, once qualified, did an additional training in counselling children and young people.
I work with a range of issues including:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Relationship issues
- Bereavement and Loss
- Trauma of all kinds
- Anger
- Self-Harm
- Domestic and Sexual Abuse
- Neurodiversity
- LGBTQ+
I am registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and so adhere to their professional standards which includes their code of conduct, known as the Ethical Framework. I am awaiting accreditation with the BACP, a rigorous process taking up to a year.
